Charterer review: Laurent Pellerin 2016-08-13 Elan 514 Impression sailboat rental from Biograd na moru,Croatia

“ Dear Marijana, Thank you for all, we had excellent vacations et every one enjoyed it very much. We sailed most of the time through the Kornati archipelago which was our goal and it really met our expectations. Here are some comments about the vacation: Regarding the Marina of Biograd, we found a market of fruits and vegetables on the Saturday morning, this has been great for us to enjoy excellent fresh products during our trip (tomatoes, cucumber, potatoes, peaches…). Also the supermarket within walking distance from the boats proved very useful. The marina is well equipped with modern and clean showers although I would not recommend the marina restaurant (tasteless and expensive). Regarding the boat rental, the desk person was efficient although not very friendly. Oppositely the boat captain and mechanic have been very helpful and understanding of our needs. (they repaired several stuff before we left which was much appreciated). The level of service is clearly one notch below that of the one we had last year in Split (beds were not done, no gasoline for the outboard engine, no snorkeling equipment, no beach towel…) We have little recommendation to make as for restaurant as we have eaten on the boat all the time. Regarding moorings we have been somewhat surprised by the expensiveness of the National parks fee entrance. Please note that the price did not seem to be so clear and that some bargaining was possible. The boat was in reasonable shape although some repairs are need (due to its age) but is was clean and all necessary equipment were working perfectly. Lastly we have been charge 200Kn for an old sauce pan which ended up in the sea. Although it is normal to pay for lost items, I found it relatively mean given the overall amount paid for the boat rental. Last remark, please note that refueling the boat can be very lengthy, we were at the gas station at 7:00am, two boats ahead of us, when we finished refueling at around 7:30, they were more than 6 boats circling behind us for refueling!
