Marina Funtana

Funtana Marina, part of the Montraker Group, is located in Funtana Bay on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula. Funtana itself is a small tourist and fishing village between Porec and Vrsar.  This part of the peninsula is lush and green and the jagged coastline is favoured by sailors for its clean, shimmering sea and unfrequented anchorages. In front of Vrsar, there is a tempting archipelago with 18 uninhabited islets, perfect for discovering by boat. On an extended charter holiday, sailing further south past Rovinj are the 14 enchanting islands of the Rovinj archipelago.

The marina, open all year, has a 280-metre-long breakwater and pontoons making it extremely well sheltered from all winds. It is a safe place for your charter boat where you can enjoy secure mooring, have peace of mind and take in the beautiful surroundings. There are a number of charter boats available from this location.

On approach, the orientation point is the Funtana settlement, with the belfry on a hill above the coast line and a green port light at the head of the breakwater. Care should be taken on the north side of Funtana bay where there is shallow water called Janjci, marked by a black and red post. At the southern entrance, between the islet of Veli Skolj and the coast, there are the Funtana shallows, marked by a yellow and red post. In the bay, about 200 m west from the pier, there are rocks and reefs. The safest way to sail in is from the west side; watching for the Janjci shallows. The marina depth is between 2.5 and 4.5 metres.

Facilities

Funtana Marina has 180 berths, all supplied with power and water and double moorings, for boats up to 30 m in length and with a maximum draft of 4.5 metres. Also on site are 40 dry berths, a crane and some technical services and a diver service, if needed.

The marina has a reception desk, air conditioned sanitary facilities and showers, video surveillance, a cafe-bistro, a parking lot, laundry, a market and Wi-Fi.

In Funtana town there ae plenty of  restaurants, supermarkets, shops, out-patient clinics, a post office, ATM, marine engine servicing and entertainment and sports centres.
